How to Apply for a Student Loan in UK

Updated on January 27, 2013

What is a Student Loan?

The British Government provides student loans to help students pay their tuition fees. Every Undergraduate student who has been accepted by a British University is entitled to a student loan. The loan amount is equal to the University's tuition fees (e.g. 9,000 pounds stirling). The student loan is interest-free. But be careful! The loan should be paid back after graduation only if the student exceeds the annual income threshold of 24,000 pounds stirling.

If you need more information about student loans or you decide to apply for a student loan yourself, you might visit the British Government's page about finance for students. Because this is not a simple procedure, you may contact Anglia Foundation. Anglia Foundation can apply for a student loan on your behalf. As a result, your loan will be GUARANTEED.

And what about other ways to get financial aid? Student grants? Or scholarships? Or fellowships? Just keep on reading!

Most of those are given to Postgraduate students who follow a Masters degree (MSc, MPhil) or a Doctorate (PhD). The amounts of scholarships may vary. You can find information about scholarships in the European Union by visiting this page. You may find details about different subjects there (e.g engineering or medical studies).
